Dance Away Merrily…

Dance Away Merrily…

Dance Away Merrily…

Today morning a butterfly with psychedelic hues was flitting, flaunting its beautiful wings in my kitchen. It must have been trapped in the confines of my home when the windows must have shut for the night.

I enjoyed its merry dance as it flitted from one object to the other; in my humongous kitchen, pondering a bit on the microwave handle, preening a bit on the matka (Indian cool pot). As I got busy in my morning to-do chores, I forgot it’s presence but when I sat down with my morning cup of tea, I saw it again, this time sulking on the fridge magnets, just fluttering its wings mildly. I wondered why it was so silent and at that moment I had an epiphany that it wanted to fly out, in the realms of the nature, enjoying its bounties. The moment I opened the kitchen window it scooted away to its utopia. Aren’t we all like the butterfly, wanting the security of a home dotted with little doses of freedom in between?

The butterfly inspires us to fly away from the cocoon, spread our wings to the world in quintessential credence, put trust in our untested wings, poise for a dignified flight and learn its message that life is a joyous dance to be merrily danced away!!

I do relate to the butterfly and want to fly away for a short while. When I’m stuck in my routine I want to enjoy the little freedoms but can’t. Thanks Aparna for this. This has reminded me to enjoy the little things in life like flying away even if it’s for a short amount of time.

Very well described by using metaphor between our heart’s little wishes and butterfly…

Lovely and lively too.. the butterfly indeed resonated with my butterfly tatoo which is an extension of me. Beautiful, free, vibrant, colorful, joyous and always attracted to nectar ( wisdom ).
Enjoyed reading !
