‘Spirituality is not something you do.  If you stop all your nonsense, you are spiritual.  Spirituality is ultimate sense.’ –Sadhguru

Now a days, as we are evolving we are attracting to the aspect of spirituality.  Very often the question is asked by most of the people, ‘What is spirituality?’ As we study ancient scriptures, we observe that spirituality was referred to a religious process of reformation; which aims to recover the original shape of man, oriented at the image of God.  In modern times the emphasis is on deepest values and meaning by which people live.  The meaning of spirituality has developed and expanded over a period of time and broadened to refer to a wider range of experience than religious.  Modern spirituality typically includes a belief in a supernatural i.e. beyond the known and observable realm, quest for ultimate meaning, an encounter with one’s ‘inner dimension’.  For me ‘spirituality’ is a search of self and higher self that is beyond me.

In simple words, we can say spirituality is a search about the things beyond known and observable things, a journey within! When we talk about spirituality, we ask following basic questions to self

  • Who am I?
  • Why I am here or existent?
  • Why me?
  • What is purpose of my life?
  • Am I living or serving my purpose of life?

I was not different from those who ask above questions to self. It is natural for human intelligence to seek what is life and beyond or to look at life and long to know.

‘When you don’t know your own being, how can you know the Supreme Being?’ – Sadhguru

We all know our body and the self within the body are different entities.  It means, ‘I’ within my body is different from my body.  Whatever or whoever within my body is there, that is eternal. Before coming across with some spiritual practices, I also used to asked the question, ‘who am I?’, though I was knowing that body and soul are different. After connecting to some spiritual practices, I learned that I am not the body having soul*, but I am the soul having body for executing my plan on earth.

Everything that exists on the earth has some purpose of its existence.  After ‘who am I’ our next question to us is ‘what is purpose of my life?’ During my stay at Pune few years back I met with severe/major accidents more than 50 times.  During that period I was diagnosed with some incurable/life threatening disease.  Then I started thinking ‘why these things happening to me?  Is there any indication for me?’  But I was not able to understand what and why, whatever was happening with me.

‘Focus upon serving a purpose and then your purpose will serve you !”

One fine morning I came across with some spiritual modality to get cure for my disease.  I learned the modality and started practicing the same.  Within four months I got completely cured my disease.  Wow! What a amazing feeling!  After getting cure from my disease I started learning advanced and different modalities and started helping people surrounding me to get cured for something which is not curable with material things like medicines. I realized, Oh! ‘THAT IS MY LIFE PURPOSE!’. I am here to help people who are suffering from and not able to get path or proper direction for getting out from suffering.  Till last year I was not sure whether I am on right track or not, whether I correctly identified my life purpose or whether I am living to fulfill my life purpose.  And, I received a message (from angels) “The purpose of your life is to serve in a way that brings great joy to yourself and others.  Don’t worry about finding your purpose.  Instead focus upon serving a purpose and then your purpose will serve you.” I got my answer that, I identified my life purpose clearly and I am on the right path to serve my purpose.

The journey is not easy.  Sometimes we get tired by asking questions to self and not getting the answers.  But we have to be patient to get the answers.  Whenever we are ready from within to get the answers then only we get the answers of our questions.  Once we get the answers, we feel complete transformed! Before that we have to keep on trying, practicing virtues**, keep on trying to find out the answers of our questions.  The journey I went through is really wonderful and blissful.  This journey is eternal!

For me, ‘Spirituality” is tool of transformation from normal human being to a super/refined human being…
